The gay sauna Thermos, that went bankrupt in April 2015, may be saved after all. Amsterdam’s local news station AT5 reported about this a few days ago.
AT5 quotes the liquidator Derk van Geel as having struck an agreement with the owner Jan Kuipers about continuation of the sauna. The article doesn’t mention any specific details about what the agreement might entail, or when the sauna will be open again. The owner says he will not be the one will run the sauna if it opens again. There are talks with a potential buyer or renter, who may continue the sauna.
The news is confirmed by the website of the liquidator (see here). The lawyer’s website says that all creditors can be paid, and the sauna may be saved.
The continuation of the sauna is still uncertain, but we’ll keep you posted through this website!
