  • Albert Cuyp market typical Amsterdam daily market, closed on Sunday. Albert Cuypstraat, trams 16, 24, 25.
  • Noordermarkt: 'farmer' markets. Great products, quite expensive, but good food for your money. Don't miss the mushrooms (to eat). Only Saturdays. Noordermarkt, tram 3 bus 18, get out at 'Willemsstraat'.
  • Markets in Zuid Oost (the 'Bijlmer'): Great markets, where you can taste the melting pot of Amsterdam, Afican vegetables, Indian spices, South American cuisine.
  • The 'Lindengrachtmarkt': typical Amsterdam market, all kinds of products. Only on Saturdays. You can make a combination with the Noordermarkt (the farmer market) which is around the corner (turn right at the end of the Lindengracht at the Brouwersgracht and take the first right again, the Prinsengracht, which leads you to the Noordermarkt) tram 3 and bus 18, get out at 'Willemsstraat'.
  • De Bloemenmarkt, Singel between Muntplein and Koningsplein, al kinds of flowers, bulbs, plants and some stupid 'traditional Holland' souvenirs.
  • Art Plein, Spui. What would they sell over here? I'll help you: it isn't cat food... only on Fridays.
