George Michael tribute at Milkshake Festival 2017 Line up announced and ticket sale started

Milkshake Festival announced a tribute to George Michael at it’s line up for the 2017 edition.  The tribute is titled  “Wham’Bam Thank You Ma’am”. It will express ‘that being kind to each other is not just something for Christmas time’. This is a reference to one of George Michael’s biggest hits, Last Christmas, and the outpouring of grieve and love when the singer died at Christmas last year.

Line up announced

The two day festival in the Westerpark area in Amsterdam is on the 29th and 30th of July. It wil have several stages with each its’ own performances, light shows and music. In this way the different areas will tell each its’ own story and express its’ own feeling. Erwin Olaf, Joost van Bellen and Zubrowka International are already confirmed as stage hosts this year, with more to follow.

Milkshake hosts several other organizations who are representing their subculture at the festival. Well known icons form the gay scene like queer nightclub De Trut, leather and fetish store Mr B and well know gay party organizers like Now & Jos, Liberated and Gaybar are participating in this years’ edition.

International acts this year are among others: Less Drama More Techno from Paris, WUT?Club from London and Sexy Party from Cologne.

Ticket sale has started

The sale of tickets has started this week as well. Be quick, because this popular festival is sold out fast. You can buy tickets here (€79,50 for the weekend) for this great festival at the start of Pride Amsterdam.
