Bioscoop het Ketelhuis
The 2014 edition of the Roze Filmdagen, the Amsterdam Gay & Lesbian Film Festival, is bigger and better than ever (website, sorry only in Dutch). The aim of the festival is to present a wide range of recent cinematographic production of interest for the LGBT community, from all around the world: from romcoms to confrontational documentaries and everything in between. From 13th of March you can immerse yourself for 10 days in the latest cinematographic delights.
The heart of the festival is the Ketelhuis cinema, with it’s three screens. But this year the nearby MC theatre and shop/theatre Toon will be involved. All located at the beautiful cultural Westergasfabriek centre, these three locations and it’s surrounding bars and restaurants will become a true cinematographic LGBT hub for these 10 days.
As ever these productions are shown in the original language and subtitled in Dutch, some are also subtitled in English. With a careful selection out of the 118 entries in the program (program mainly in Dutch, but movie descriptions also in English available), you can make this a very enjoyable festival.
