The Pride in Amsterdam is more than an event in July/August. For many communities within the LGBTQI society it is the focus point for a host of events during the rest of the year. This is also the case for the IranPride community. With this party they look back on the events during the Amsterdam Pride in 2017 and looking forward to IranPride 2018.
As they say themselves:
“remember how wonderful were the passed Amsterdam Pride Parade days when we were playing with water colors to paint our T-shirts, or sing Yare Dabestani in Vondelpark together, drinking and dancing on the stopped boat, crying, hugging and dancing again…
Those days are passed and all that remain is good memories, friendship, freedom, being ourselves and living who we are.
Now, we are going to celebrate Iran in Amsterdam Pride 2017 for the last time to open our way for IranPride2018.”
During this fall party you can enjoy the storytelling by Sahand Sahebdivani, karaoke and dancing. Sounds like it is going to be a great party and best of all: it is free!
If you can’t make it this time, follow the IranPride on their website for more news and events.
