On Saturday the 17th of June you have the change to attend a free premiere of the documentary Iron Legs. This documentary is about a lesbian soccer team in Cambodia. The director of the documentary Vanna Hem will be present to show his film about a lesbian girls soccer team in Cambodia.

Iron Legs

The documentary itself is financed by a crowdfunding action on the website Document Our History Now. After successfully raising around €10.000,- Vanna Hem was able to document over a year the story of the first lesbian and transgender women’s soccer team in Cambodia and Southeast Asia. It promises to be a positive story about the players, but also about their lesbian coach who survived the horror of the Khmer Rouge regime in Cambodia. For a teaser see here.

The Premiere

The premiere is a co-production  of Document Our History Now with International Homo/Lesbian Information center and Archive (IHLIA).  During the event Vanna Hem will be interviewed and will answer questions from the audience.
