Pride Photo Award 2013: Extremely Normal

Pride Photo Award, the annual international photographic competition about sexual and gender diversity, has announced the theme for this year’s competition. With the theme “extremely Normal” it wants to challenge participants to enter with “extraordinary photos of ordinary people”. You can enter your photos in one of three categories: Documentary, Gender or Open.Anti-homosexuality bill in Uganda

The organisation wants the participants to “capture the discrete charm of normality”. The theme was chosen by renowned Dutch photo curator Marga Rotteveel. The jury consists of the internationally renowned experts: Stephen Mayes, Colin Jacobson, Giovanna Calvenzi, Isabel Muñoz and Jane Jackson. The jury will select the winner in june and the award will be handed to the winner on the 23rd of August in the Old Church of Amsterdam. During August you can visit the Pride Photo Award in the Old Church.

The registration of participants and submission of their photos will take place on this website, during April and May 2013. A jury of internationally renowned photography experts will judge the entries and select the winners, who will be announced in June.
