Streets

Kalverstraat The main shopping street in the center of the city. A lot of flagship stores of popular clothing retailers such as H&M, WE, Mexx and Esprit. Also a few surviving old luxury stores, such as the Bonneterie.

Leidsestraat For clothes, shoes and gifts.

PC Hooftstraat Fashionable shopping street, for your Gucci, Chanel, Louis Vuiton, Victor & Rolf and Armani outfits.

'Museumkwartier' Nieuwe Spiegelstraat Lots of antiques, some art-galleries.

Nine little streets (Negen straatjes) A succession of small streets running parallel to the Leidse straat, between the Leidse straat and the Raadhuisstraat. In these streets, with names like Runstraat and Wolvenstraat, you can find small boutiques of all sorts. Our favourites are Skins (a speciality cosmetics store) and Goodies (a nice lunchroom).
